During a media briefing, EFF leader Julius Malema emphasized the importance of strengthening these relationships to promote trade, investment, and mutual economic benefits. Additionally, Malema controversially suggested that South Africans who accept offers from former U.S. President Donald Trump to move to the U.S. should have their citizenship revoked. This statement was in response to Trump's offer to provide "green cards" to foreign graduates, particularly targeting those from countries like South Africa.
