  • Justin Baldoni and Jennifer Abel have filed a lawsuit against publicist Stephanie Jones in the latest salvo in the dizzying legal battle between the "It Ends With Us" director and star and Blake Lively.

Justin Baldoni, known for his role in "Jane the Virgin," has filed a lawsuit against his former publicist, Melissa Kates, and her company, The Kates Company, for allegedly embezzling over $100,000 from him. The lawsuit claims that Kates misappropriated funds intended for business expenses, including using Baldoni's credit card for personal luxury purchases like a $1,000 shopping spree at Barneys New York. Despite being fired in 2017, Kates continued to charge Baldoni's card without authorization. The legal action, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, seeks to recover the misused funds and address the breach of fiduciary duty. Kates has not yet responded to the allegations.
