Milwaukee Mitchell Airport prepares for holidays, winter with new warm-weather flights

Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport is gearing up for the holiday season with an expected increase in passenger traffic. The airport anticipates handling about 150,000 passengers from December 21 to January 3, with the busiest days being December 22 and December 26. To manage the surge, the airport has enhanced its services by adding more staff, including TSA agents, and increasing the number of parking spots by 600. Additionally, travelers are advised to arrive at least two hours before their flight to accommodate for longer lines and security checks. The airport is also promoting its "MKE Smart Park" app for easier parking and offering holiday-themed activities and decorations to enhance the travel experience during this festive period.
