When returning to the US international travel it can be a hassle to claim a bag through customs, then recheck it through your airline on your connecting flight home.

American Airlines has introduced a new pilot program at Nashville International Airport (BNA) aimed at simplifying the baggage claim process for international travelers. The initiative, which began on a specific date not mentioned, allows passengers arriving on international flights to collect their checked luggage directly from the aircraft's cargo hold, rather than waiting at a traditional baggage carousel. This change is intended to reduce wait times and enhance the overall travel experience. The program is currently exclusive to BNA and is being evaluated for potential expansion to other airports based on its success and feedback from travelers.
