"We're seeing a lot of traffic from Midwestern states - Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin - which is driving up demand. The driveable nature of Chicago is a significant advantage."
This regional focus has prompted hotels to re-evaluate their marketing strategies. Traditionally, Chicago hotels focused heavily on attracting international guests and business travelers. Now, marketing campaigns are increasingly geared toward families and individuals within a 500-mile radius.
