While supporters of the bill argue it promotes unity and prevents divisive concepts from being taught, opponents, including Democrats and civil rights groups, contend that it could hinder efforts to address systemic inequalities and foster an inclusive environment. The bill now awaits the decision of Governor Laura Kelly, who has previously vetoed similar legislation.
