An uncertain economy, and potential tariff price hikes, has Americans sticking to tight budgets for summer travel, according to a new survey by Deloitte.
According to a report by TMJ4, a survey conducted by The Vacationer reveals that Americans are planning shorter and more frequent trips this summer due to economic concerns. The survey, which polled 1,015 U.S. adults, found that 64% of respondents are opting for multiple short trips rather than one long vacation, influenced by factors such as inflation and rising travel costs. Additionally, 45% of those surveyed plan to drive rather than fly to save money, and many are choosing destinations closer to home. The trend reflects a broader shift towards more budget-conscious travel as people look to balance their desire for leisure with financial prudence.
