  • A new survey shows that nearly half of Americans say President Trump's tariffs are affecting their summer travel plans, while 63% say inflation is affecting their plans.

A recent survey by The Vacationer indicates that tariffs and inflation are significantly impacting summer travel plans for 2025, with 62% of Americans planning to travel less due to these economic factors. The survey, which polled 1,000 U.S. adults, found that rising costs are leading many to either cancel or scale back their travel, with 45% of respondents citing increased prices for flights, accommodations, and other travel-related expenses as their primary concern. Additionally, 38% mentioned that new tariffs on imported goods are indirectly affecting their travel budgets by increasing the cost of living. The survey also highlighted a shift towards more cost-effective travel options, such as road trips and staying with friends or family, as people try to manage their budgets amidst these economic pressures.
