  • Weather warnings were in effect across parts of Wyoming and Montana on Wednesday.

A travel warning has been issued for parts of Montana and Wyoming due to a severe winter storm expected to bring up to 3 feet of snow, with the heaviest snowfall predicted for the night of February 21 into February 22, 2023. The National Weather Service has warned of dangerous travel conditions, particularly in the mountains, with potential road closures and whiteout conditions. The storm is expected to impact areas including West Yellowstone, Big Sky, and Yellowstone National Park, with snow accumulations of 2 to 3 feet in the higher elevations and 1 to 2 feet in lower areas. The weather service advises travelers to prepare for significant disruptions and to avoid unnecessary travel during the storm.
