  • The carrier on Thursday announced a refresh of its seating categories.

Delta Air Lines has announced significant changes to its reservation system, effective from May 15, 2025, aimed at enhancing customer experience and simplifying the booking process. The airline is restructuring its fare classes into four main categories: Basic, Classic, Comfort, and First, each offering distinct amenities and flexibility options. Basic Economy will remain the most affordable option with limited services, while Classic will offer more flexibility and perks such as free checked bags and seat selection. Comfort class will provide additional legroom and enhanced in-flight services, and First class will continue to offer premium amenities and priority services. These changes are part of Delta's broader strategy to streamline its offerings and better cater to the diverse needs of its passengers.
