Backed by over 2,400 member companies, the Travel Agents Association of India says the initiative is a show of solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The "Chalo Kashmir" campaign, launched by the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) and the Jammu and Kashmir Hoteliers Club, aims to revive tourism in the region by promoting it as a safe and attractive destination. The initiative, supported by the Union Tourism Ministry, seeks to dispel fears and misconceptions about the safety of Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing that the area is peaceful and ready to welcome tourists. The campaign includes promotional activities and assurances from local authorities about the security measures in place to ensure a safe environment for visitors. This effort is part of a broader strategy to boost the local economy and restore the region's reputation as a premier tourist destination.
