President Donald Trump has revealed why Egypt, the native country of the Boulder, Colorado attack suspect, was not included in the travel ban.
In a recent interview with Fox News, former President Donald Trump revealed that Egypt was not included in his 2017 travel ban due to a personal favor he received from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. Trump explained that el-Sisi had given him a "very beautiful" and "very big" award, which influenced his decision to exclude Egypt from the list of countries affected by the ban. The travel ban, officially known as the "Executive Order Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States," initially targeted seven Muslim-majority countries—Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen—but was later revised. Trump's comments have sparked controversy and raised questions about the criteria used for the travel ban, suggesting that personal relationships may have played a role in the policy decisions.
