Greater Anglia, in collaboration with Atomic London, has launched a playful campaign titled "London Closer" to attract day trippers to East Anglia by highlighting the region's proximity to London via their train services. The campaign features a series of humorous ads that depict London landmarks like Tower Bridge and Big Ben seemingly encroaching into East Anglian towns such as Colchester, Chelmsford, and Southend, emphasizing the short travel times from London. The ads, which include both static and animated formats, aim to showcase the ease of reaching East Anglia for a day out, with travel times as quick as 40 minutes. The campaign is set to run across various media platforms including social media, digital display, and video on demand, with the goal of boosting tourism and showcasing the region's attractions.
