Avelo Adds 5 New Routes From the Northeast, Including Direct to Dominican Republic

  • Low-cost Avelo Airlines is expanding its domestic and international network from Connecticut, giving travelers more flight options than ever.

Avelo Airlines has announced the expansion of its flight network with new routes from Connecticut to the Dominican Republic, as well as new services from Detroit, Portland, and Jacksonville. Starting June 14, 2024, Avelo will offer direct flights from Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) in Connecticut to Cibao International Airport (STI) in Santiago, Dominican Republic, with fares starting at $139 one way. Additionally, Avelo will commence flights from Detroit to Raleigh-Durham, Portland to Las Vegas, and Jacksonville to both Philadelphia and West Palm Beach. These new routes are part of Avelo's strategy to provide affordable, convenient travel options, focusing on underserved markets. The airline also plans to introduce a new base in Las Vegas, enhancing its presence on the West Coast.
