The boss of the cash-strapped leisure trust, which operates 180 leisure and entertainment venues across the UK, has warned that the organization is on the brink of collapse due to the ongoing financial strain caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In an interview with Yahoo News, the CEO expressed frustration over the lack of government support and called for urgent action to prevent the trust from going bankrupt. The trust, which employs over 6,000 people, has been struggling to stay afloat as many of its venues have been forced to close or operate at reduced capacity due to lockdown restrictions. The CEO emphasized that without immediate financial assistance, the trust would be forced to make significant job cuts and potentially shut down permanently, leaving a void in community leisure services across the country.
