IndiGo, Delta Air Lines, Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic will partner to move customers to and from India.
Four major airlines—Air India, IndiGo, Vistara, and Akasa Air—have announced significant investments to enhance air travel in India, aiming to meet the growing demand and improve connectivity. Air India plans to purchase 470 aircraft from Boeing and Airbus to expand its fleet and improve service. IndiGo, India's largest airline, has ordered 300 Airbus A320neo family aircraft to cater to the increasing domestic and international travel needs. Vistara, a joint venture between Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines, is set to merge with Air India, enhancing its fleet and route network. Meanwhile, the new entrant Akasa Air has ordered 72 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft to establish its presence in the market. These investments reflect a strong commitment to the future of air travel in India, promising better connectivity and service for passengers.
