Survey indicates over half of parents don't like reading to their kids

And that's having a ripple effect on kids as they grow up.
A survey conducted by the non-profit organization Read Aloud 15 Minutes found that nearly half of parents do not enjoy reading to their children, with many citing a lack of time and difficulty in finding age-appropriate books as the primary reasons. The survey, which polled over 2,000 parents across the United States, revealed that 47% of parents do not enjoy the activity, and 33% of parents read to their children less than once a week. The findings highlight the challenges parents face in fostering a love for reading in their children, and underscore the need for resources and support to help parents make reading a more enjoyable and regular part of their family routine.
