  • A Greenville, South Carolina, man was arraigned at a federal court for allegedly using stolen funds to pay for a wedding, luxury travel, and a failed restaurant.

A Greenville, South Carolina man, Christopher S. Kirchner, was indicted for allegedly using over $20 million of company funds for personal expenses, including a lavish wedding at a luxury resort in Mexico and dining at high-end restaurants. Kirchner, the former CEO of Slync, a supply-chain startup, is accused of misusing investor funds to finance his extravagant lifestyle, which also included purchasing a private jet and a multi-million dollar home. The indictment claims that Kirchner misled investors about the company's financial health and used the misappropriated funds for personal gain, leading to charges of wire fraud and money laundering.
