A travel agent from New York, Sandy Basson, has pleaded guilty to charges of fraud and money laundering after defrauding clients out of more than $200,000 by falsely promising luxury travel packages and vacations. Basson, who operated under the business name "Sandy's Travel and Tours," admitted to using the funds for personal expenses instead of booking the promised trips. She faces up to 20 years in prison for the fraud charge and an additional 10 years for money laundering, with sentencing scheduled for June 15.
