Airbus has secured European certification for an A330-900 performance-enhancement package which includes new take-off configurations and faster landing-gear retraction. German leisure carrier Condor is set to introduce aircraft with the modification, following the approval from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency. Airbus says the package - which is designated 'Step-4' ...

Condor, a German leisure airline, is set to introduce the Airbus A330-900neo into its fleet, with the first aircraft expected to be delivered in April 2023. The A330neo will feature enhanced low-speed performance, including a reduced approach speed and a steeper approach angle, which will allow the aircraft to operate into more airports with shorter runways. The new aircraft will also have a new cabin interior, with a three-class configuration, including business, premium economy, and economy classes. The A330neo is expected to provide Condor with a 20% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to the aircraft it will replace, the A320.
