Delta evacuates 282 passengers in latest terrifying plane emergency

On a Delta Air Lines flight from Orlando to Atlanta, an engine caught fire shortly after takeoff, prompting an emergency evacuation on the runway. The incident occurred on a Wednesday, and all 190 passengers and six crew members were safely evacuated using emergency slides. The fire was quickly extinguished by airport rescue teams, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the engine fire is under investigation, but it is believed to be related to a mechanical issue. Delta Air Lines commended the swift response of the crew and first responders, and the airline is working to rebook affected passengers on other flights.
